Civil and Structural Engineering

Sea Walls

Sea Wall Designs are essential to the protection of structures from damage relating to wave and current forces from sea / river and other water courses.
  • Concept Design, design development, detailed design, documentation, and construction procedure, inspection and certification of seawalls constructed of sandstone, stabilized engineered block walls, cantilevered RC walls and King Pile and RC panel systems
  • Investigation and preparation of condition survey for seawalls
  • Repair and demolition plans
  • Feasibility study for foreshore protection works and coast engineering design

Design and Detailing

  1. Client consultation, site measurements and review of potential criteria to categorise the sea walls
  2. Loading Assessment (AS4678-2002) environmental load assessment (AS 3962)
  3. Review of geotechnical assessment reports to study founding soil medium and to determine support system.
  4. Design of sea wall including footing  for ultimate and serviceability criteria
  5. Design of King pile and wall panel system.

Risk Assessment/ Safety in Design Review

  1. Preparation of Risk Assessment/ Safety in Design analysis.

Construction Drawings

  1. Seawall Layout, Typical Cross Sections of different types
  2. Engineering Details of footings with reinforcement
  3. Engineering details of King Piles, RC panels
  4. Engineering details and spot levels for sub soil drainage and outlet pipes.
