Maritime Engineering

Boat Ramps

Boat ramps are elemental access points to the launch and retrieval of vessels. The facility supports marine recreation and everyday life by providing a safe and stable meeting between land and water.

The development of Maritime Structures often is challenging as they must be designed to be functional with the effects of storms, waves, winds, currents and berthing energy. JHK will work with the prospective Clients to prepare new boat ramps to suit their purpose in terms of the requirements of AS 3962 and relevant requirements of authorities and Councils. TfNSW's guidelines for boat ramps also will be used. JHK have participated in projects covering aspects of Project management, inspection and certification, conceptual design, investigation and reporting, Contract Administration & Supervision, Design and documentation of Reinforced Concrete Boat Ramps, Design and documentation of manoeuvring areas, Design and documentation of parking facilities and footpaths, and Design and documentation of related pontoon facilities. In addition to Engineering Design Consultancy services, we also offer an extensive service in planning such as preparation of documentation for Permission to Lodge, Development Applications and Review of Environmental Factors, Contract Administration, Site Investigation and Design Reports and certification.
