The JHK Team is led by a Registered Professional Engineer, Mr Pira Myooran, the Principal, who is backed by more than 45 years of experience, domestically and overseas, in the design and construction of buildings, bridges and maritime structures, supervision of construction, contract administration and project management. This includes management of construction and maintenance of roads, maintenance of bridges, and hydrological studies. Pira is a qualified and practicing Civil, Structural and Maritime Engineer with more than 27 years’ experience in Australia.

• Principal Engineer and Client Liaison Officer on all major projects undertaken
  
• Overall responsibility and Supervision in the preparation of Conceptual Designs, establishing design parameters and methodology for projects, and approval and sign-off detailed design prepared.
• Review / check and approve all design, drawings and documentation issued by JHK & Associates Pty Ltd to all clients.
• Establishing and upholding QMS, OHSMS and EMS management systems, and financial and operational policies for the company.
  
• Upholding ethics and values of Engineers and applying the engineering principles for the betterment of the public and the society with honesty, integrity, knowledge and experience, with the safety of users and public in mind.
• Training of young Engineers and helping them to achieve valuable practical experience for their registration status
• Preparation and submission of engineering proposals for potential projects, including the identification of the client’s requirements for a project, matching those requirements with the in-house capabilities, establishing the methodology for the project, establishing and / or reviewing budgets and preparing fee proposals.

The Principal is supported directly by an active and professional team comprising of talented Managers and Engineers. Ms Sharon Moloney, the Project Coordinator and our Quality Assurance Manager, heads the team. The Engineering team is managed by Ms Sachini Fernando, who is the Manager of Engineering Services and a qualified Chartered Professional Engineer.

Registered Professional Engineer in Civil and Structural Engineering with more than 9 years of experience in design of Civil and Maritime Structures, managing design and client coordination of projects, Quality Assurance of design process, Condition Assessment Inspections and reporting of various structures including concrete plants, masts and towers and buildings etc. as well as preparation of Engineering Reports including Safety in Design, Condition Assessment, Design Reports, Finite Element modelling analysis.

Taking responsibility as a Senior Design Engineer, Sachini handles the designs of Reinforced Concrete, Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Timber structures. She is experienced in the design and inspection of Seawalls, Boat Ramps, Retaining Walls, Bridges, Pontoons, Jetties, Gangways. 

Experienced project coordinator with experience in coordinating specialist inputs for design projects, coordination of tender submissions, preparation of environmental reports and submissions to accompany planning approvals processes, and liaison with various levels of government and public authorities. Development, collation, and implementation of Quality Management System in compliance with AS/NZS ISO 9000:2016 requirements, and collation and implementation of organisation’s  WHS policy and OHS Management System in compliance with AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018​.
